Memorial Day 2023 Fishing Report!

We fished Thursday through Monday out of East Harbor. We bounced around Kellys, American Eagle, the shipping channel, and out at the Canadian line. We tried drifting and casting harnesses and trolled cranks. Overall we struggled. We fought east winds all weekend. Between the wind and boat traffic, the lake was pretty rough. There were definitely spots that were muddier than others. We moved around to stay out of the chocolate milk. We managed enough for a big fish fry and sent everyone in the group home with walleye in the cooler. In years past, we were at or near a limit every day. This year was about half that with long days of fishing. Overall a good weekend with great people. The tradition continues!
